While we don't know her exact story, her scars and fear tell a story of severe abuse and a rough life.
She has been with us here in PA for some time now and has settled in to our home.
Cordelia has been great with our other dogs, big or small.
Lately she has attempted to play in the house and outside in the yard, she will at times do some zoomies with the other dogs. She never took a second look at our miniature pincher and accepts her as one of the pack.
Humans still can be very scary still, but she is with the others wanting to be petted when we come home, allows us to pet her and will at times playfully nibble at our hands.
Recently she has started coming towards us asking for loving.
Other times, a too fast movement towards her will send her scrambling and try to flee.
She loves her food and treats help her tremendously, she will play with toys while waiting for her food.
A calm environment with other dogs and a large fenced in yard will be best for Cordelia to feel safe.
She does react to sounds like a washer or other loud sounds and will find a place away from it.
Cordelia continues to explore and be curious about the world so there is no knowing what she will eventually be able to handle outside of the house, she does handle car rides well.
Safety is a most important with Cordelia due to her fear.
When not secured within a 6 foot fenced area, a 3 point safety harness and martingale connected with a double leash is required.
Please don't be scared of by her fear, because behind this fear is a wonderful, cheeky, funny girl who will win your heart in no time if given a chance.
Cordelia will only go to a home with a securely fenced in yard to give her time to adjust to her new family without them having to leash her several times a day.
