Pepperoncino has been in foster care in Northern California with a wonderful family who is helping him adjust to home life. “Mr. Pepper” needs time to acclimate to a new home, but once he gets comfortable and feels safe, you have his heart. He is affectionate,
Loving and very sweet. When applying, keep in mind he will need his people home often to help him adjust.
From his foster mama: Pepper has done well meeting new dogs, although hesitant in the beginning, he gradually opened up and started running around with the other dogs. Pepper is being gently socialized in cafes, car rides, meeting strangers, and learning how to be left alone for very short periods. He making great progress! Pepper, although still a bit of a nervous nelly outside (but getting better all the time) he has confidence in the house and definitely loves me and looks to me for reassurance. So if someone is looking for a loving dog - Pepper is the one!
Pepperoncino’s wish list will include someone(s) who will continue building up his progress, is home often, will meet his exercise requirements (he’s a young, strong boy), and who has patience to give him all the time he needs to open up and flourish.
As with all our sighthounds, a 3 point safety harness is required as is a 6 foot fence when let off leash.
