Caleta is a 4.5-year-old female dog with a particularly sensitive soul.
She was surrendered to the Recal team by her hunter from Extremadura – from an environment where she likely received little protection, care, or security. The scars of that life are still visible within her today.

Caleta is anxious, cautious, and very shy. Loud noises unsettle her, and the outside world seems largely unfamiliar to her. Nevertheless, she shows how much gentleness lies within her: she allows herself to be led and touched, and despite everything, she approaches people with a quiet, cautious approachability.

We are urgently seeking empathetic, experienced people with plenty of patience and understanding for this sensitive dog. People who can offer her a calm home, provide her with security, and gently introduce her to a new life. Caleta needs protection, reliability, and time – because emotional healing doesn't happen overnight. A loving family who understands that the journey with Caleta will be slow and quiet, but infinitely precious. A family that is ready to give her space without expectations and celebrate every tiny step forward. For her own safety, Caleta must be double-secured and tracked.
