Laika has been at the shelter since June 2022
Months turned into years.
Years of waiting.
So much wasted time for such a gentle, sensitive girl.

When Laika first arrived at the animal shelter, she was panicked; the world was too loud, too fast, too much for her.
And yes – she will always remain a cautious, fearful dog.
But what she has achieved in this time is quiet, yet incredibly significant.
Today Laika trusts.
She has learned that not every hand demands something, that closeness can also be something beautiful.
She approaches her caregivers with cautious openness – and sometimes she even comes of her own accord to collect cuddles.
Small moments that mean so much. Moments that show how much courage this delicate little dog possesses.
She is still unsettled by unfamiliar people and new situations, loud noises throw her back into her fear, and new environments are a great challenge for her.
That's why Laika needs security – real, reliable security. Double safety measures are essential; calm is her anchor.
A confident, gentle canine companion by her side could provide her with support, guidance, and help her to discover the world more bravely, step by step.
