Orel

Update on Orel 3 days after arrival in his US fosterhome.

"What an absolute sweetheart this boy is. He comes up to be petted, is calm in the house but loves to play outside already (if it is not too cold)
He fits in like a glove with all the other dogs, male or female, he shares the bed or couch with them.
He even shares his food bowl with Hecate who was on the same flight.
While the city may be too much for him, with another dog in the house he will get used to things really fast, he seems very adaptable.
He now also lives with a minpin/chihuahua mix and has absolutely no issue with it.
Orel is is one of those hidden pearls and some family will be very lucky to find and adopt him."

Orel has made significant progress over the past few months. While he remains somewhat shy in new situations and around strangers, he has become more trusting and adapts much more quickly now. With people he knows, he is affectionate and displays a very playful and fun personality, making him truly endearing.

In terms of interactions with other dogs, Orel gets along well and is usually the one to initiate play, highlighting his social and playful nature. However, with cats, he tends to focus excessively on them, and due to this, cohabitation with cats is strongly discouraged.

Given his sensitive nature, he is not recommended for very busy or urban areas, which could overwhelm him. In the right environment, he will undoubtedly be a wonderful companion.

Orel has been at Fundación Benjamín Mehnert since May 2023
